Hi, I’m Erin, the founder and creative director of Erin Harper Media (EHM). I’m not sure what brought you here, but I’m glad you stopped by!

I’ve done quite a few things professionally, but the thread running through all of them is a love for people and stories. Whether as a licensed psychologist, professor, researcher, organizational leader, comedy writer, performer, or freelance content creator (just a snapshot of the lives I’ve lived), I’ve always found joy in learning about others’ stories and creating my own. Building on these experiences and what I’ve learned along the way, starting my own media company is the natural next step in my path.
EHM specializes in social-first storytelling, short-form video, and social impact collaborations rooted in clarity, cultural relevance, and narrative thoughtfulness. As founder and creative director, I partner with individuals, media organizations, brands, and institutions to develop content that bridges research and real-world experience. I’m passionate about translating complex ideas into accessible, meaningful, and human-centered stories. I also produce work that’s just for laughs, because sometimes a good laugh has its own kind of impact.
One of my favorite elements of this work is developing meaningful connections with people across cultures and generations. I think I’m good at this for a few reasons: I was born on the cusp of the Gen X and Millennial generations, making me a “Xennial” (Xennial sounds so weird, right?); I’m the daughter of two of the most boomerish Boomers you’d ever meet (sorry, Mom and Dad, it’s true); and over the course of my career, I’ve provided services and developed programs and curricula with and for children, youth, and young adults, from kindergarten through graduate school.
I’ve also spent an absurd amount of time immersed in the world of social media over the past two decades, observing how people engage, connect, and make meaning online—from the early days of Myspace, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter (#RIP) to the modern era of Instagram, Threads, and even TikTok (where I’ve built a substantial following for a digital senior citizen). The bottom line is I’ve been deep in the game long enough to understand how audiences actually show up—and how to meet them there.
All of these experiences shape how I think about audience, voice, and impact in my work. Today, that looks like creating media that connects across generations and cultures and partnering directly with clients and collaborators every step of the way. If you’re interested in exploring collaboration, let’s connect. I’m looking forward to it.
